The Lannert Group was commissioned by INDECK Energy Services of Buffalo Grove to provide hearing exhibits and expert witness testimony for their proposed peaker power plant in Libertyville.  Key issues studied included the location of the facility in relationship to neighboring communities, the overall facility appearance including height, color, building mass and setback, entrance design, and facilty screening.  We made extensive use of computer generated three-dimensional models throughout the design process to develop numerous entry and screening alternatives as well as to study building height and color.

An important part of the planning process is the study of adjacent land uses and zoning so that the facilty can be located on a site that is most compatible with the existing surroundings.  Using the data gathered in this process then allows the designers to create an appropriate site plan, such as the one shown at right.
