Review and Redesign of Master Plan Landscape Architecture Landscape Construction Supervision Homan Square, a planned community for the inner city, lies on the site of what once was the original Sears and Roebuck headquarters and catalog operation. We worked with the Shaw Company to review and modify the original 55 acre master plan as wee as to develop and oversee the Phase I and II landscape plans and detailing. When finished, the development will bring nearly 600 units of affordable housing and one million square feet of commercial space to the North Lawndale neighborhood on Chicago's West Side. |

The illustrative master plan for the Homan Square site. The plan
has a series of courtyard oriented housing clusters that continue the urban
grid through the site, and large commercial parcels on the east side.
